The story that must be told today
is the subject of a new musical production,
VOYAGES : A Musical Play
by David Schaefer
In May 1939, the S.S. St. Louis sailed from Hamburg, Germany,
bound for Havana, Cuba with a thousand Jewish passengers,
desperate to escape Nazi persecution.
On board, a young Jewish girl and an anti-Nazi German officer fall in love,
despite the impending danger.
When the ship is refused entry into Cuba, a rabbi, a lawyer,
and a concentration camp survivor plot to avoid an almost
certain voyage of death.
Where will this voyage take them?
